Irene E. Breach
Secor- Irene E. Breach, 86, of Secor, IL passed away at 7:30 pm
on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Advocate Eureka Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, August
25, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Secor, IL. Rev. Scott
Adle will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from
4-7 pm at the Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso and for one
hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be
in Secor Cemetery.
Irene was born on January 15, 1926 in Roanoke, IL a daughter of
Emil and Sena Seggerman Seggerman. She married MacDonald Breach on
May 17, 1944 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Secor, IL. He
survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Don R. (Linda) Breach of Secor, IL;
Loren D. Breach of Secor, IL; three daughters, Julie Pepple (Sidney
Gilliams) of McLean, IL; Jean (David) Westray of Eureka, IL;
Patricia (Howard) Gerdes of Secor, IL; twelve grandchildren, twelve
great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, two
sisters, one daughter, Etta May Beasanson; and one son, Vernon
Breach.
Irene was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and worked as a
custodian there. She also belonged to the Secor Sportsmen's
Club.
She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and
great grandmother. She was a homemaker who loved to garden, do
canning, cook, bake, and sew. She enjoyed fishing with her husband
in Wisconsin and going shopping with her daughters and
granddaughters. Irene loved to camp and take the kids on trips. She
will be missed very much.
